Noah's Haircut Fundraiser

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this cause. Noah raised $1,530 for the Tumour Foundation of BC and donated his hair to make wigs for kids undergoing cancer treatment.

Noah has not had a haircut in TWO YEARS, and he's looking for some incentive! His plan is to donate his hair to Wigs for Kids BC, which makes wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer or other serious illnesses. Noah has set a target of $1,500 in donations to the Tumour Foundation of BC before he'll cut his long, long hair. Did you know that while neurofibromatis (NF) tumours are usually benign, people with neurofibromatosis (NF) are at an increased risk for developing cancer?

About Noah. Noah is a 17-year-old grade12 student who was diagnosed at the age of two with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1). Since then, Noah has endured many, many specialists visits, MRIs to monitor tumour grown, a PET scan, and three surgeries. Noah lives with a permanent visual disability caused by a tumour on his optic nerve. Despite these, Noah's mom says he is an easygoing, laidback young man with a good sense of humour. He enjoys video games and has a brown belt in Shotokan karate.
