Shine a Light on NF

A Global Campaign to Make NF Visible

Shine a Light
Shine a Light

Shine a Light on NF is an integral component of our NF Awareness Month campaign, conducted collaboratively with various organizations around the globe including the Childen’s Tumor Foundation. This global initiative aims to raise awareness about neurofibromatosis.

In 2023, nearly 500 iconic buildings, bridges, and architectural landmarks illuminated in blue and green, the official colors of NF, as part of the Shine a Light on NF campaign. This collective effort symbolized solidarity in the fight against NF and significantly contributed to spreading awareness about this often under-diagnosed and under-recognized condition.

We are pleased to share that the following landmarks and buildings have joined this year’s campaign. We look forward to adding more partners as the campaign moves forward. If you know a building or landmark in your community that shines their lights for charity please let us know so we can invite them to participate.

Shine a Light at home

Shine a Light on NF makes NF visible by lighting homes, buildings, and landmarks across the globe in blue and green, the official colors of NF. You can bring this effort to your neighborhood by lighting up your home in blue and green.

You can also decorate your driveway or sidewalk with chalk pictures, messages, or NF facts.

Wear Blue and Green
Wear blue and green on May 17 in honor of World NF Awareness Day and green and blue on May 22 for NF2 Awareness Day!  Find anything blue and/or green in your closet (we promise we won't judge if you're in PJs all day!)
Share NF Facts

Teach others about NF using our Resource Library. Consider sharing one NF fact a day throughout the month on social media, making NF fact lawn signs, or download materials and email to friends, coworkers, teachers, or family who might want to learn more about NF.

Let’s work together to Shine a Light on NF!
